to jumpstart their careers while pursuing a college education. The company’s North Carolina site is housed in Zebulon, and GSK partners with Wake Technical Community College for the educational components of the program. During their apprenticeships, GSK apprentices receive paid on-the-job training while studying toward their associate degrees, or trade qualifications, fully funded, at Wake Tech. The program’s structure means apprentices spend approximately 80% of their time training and 20% of their time completing the required educational components. RESEARCH APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM (RAP) FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTSThis rewarding, hands-on two week residential program in the food, agricultural, and environmental sciences, is for rising juniors and seniors in high school. The program is from June 16 – 28, 2024. Participants will stay on the campus of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and work under the direction of top notch research scientists, and conduct independent research projects. In addition to the benefits of these scholarly activities, participants will receive a stipend upon completion and enrollment within one of the majors in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. The program is fully funded except for the $25.00 non-refundable application fee. In order to apply for this program, the following documentation will be needed.
